Uttar Pradesh shopkeeper, his helper killed by unidentified persons in Gorakhpur

The incident took place on Wednesday when unidentified men barged into a shop in Gorakhpur’s Gagaha and opened fire at the shopkeeper and his helper.

Two persons were killed by unidentified persons at Gagaha in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur on Wednesday night, police said.

Shambhu, who ran an electronic shop in Gagaha area of Gorakhpur, was shot by unknown assailants on Wednesday. Police said Shambhu’s helper Shambhu Morya, a resident of Kotha in Gagaha, was also killed in the attack.

“Two people, including a shop owner and his servant, were shot by a few unidentified people in Gorakhpur district’s Gagaha area,” Dinesh Kumar, Gorakhpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) told news agency ANI on Wednesday.

The police official added that a case was registered and teams formed to nab the accused.
