How has RoseWalk handled the Coronavirus pandemic?
Social distancing is the need of the hour. We want our patients to know that our doctors are available for them even during tough times 24/7. RoseWalk is committed to ensuring that essential services are accessible for mothers-to-be and children. On the same note, we have introduced Hello Doctor, an innovative way for parents to book appointments with their favorite pediatricians right from the comfort of their home. In order to book one, the patients can share their details by clicking on the 'Book a Video Consultation Now' tab on our website.

What are some of the noteworthy lessons you learned from the pandemic?
Quite a few. Firstly, we have introduced online consultation service, especially for pregnant women. This has helped our doctors improve their e-skills, and be available for the patient 24/7. We’re follow standard safety measures for our premises, and make sure deliveries are done smoothly with all necessary measures in place, keeping the pandemic in mind. New-borns are particularly susceptible to infections. So we take all the necessary precautions to ensure they’re safe. Basically, hospital management has to be the best in terms of safety standards for patients, keeping the current scenario in mind.

How are you different from the existing competitors?

We are a specialty childbirth service, as opposed to being a general hospital. This means, when a patient comes to us, she is coming to the experts of childbirth! We have pulled out all the stops to ensure every mother experiences childbirth as a joy, and not just a bodily event. From the holistic treatments being offered at RoseWalk to the quality of care, food provided, and a lot of other things help a mother-to-be to feel safe and secure with us.

What challenges are you facing in running your business?
The contagious nature of virus and stay at home message meant that healthcare fraternity had to find new ways to deliver services. Therefore, Telemedicine and home based healthcare facilities saw a rise. Virtual Health became a game changer. From a physical OPD the hospitals had to immediately find and implement solutions for video consultations. People have been apprehensive to bring their children to hospital for vaccination. The need of the hour was such that home vaccination drive had to be started. This has now become a new normal. Over the time, which is evolving very fast during Covid times, we will see any service that does not need hospital bed will be delivered out of homes. Specialised services like Obstetrics where patient needs to come for physical examinations or Lamaze classes is also reaching home through virtual OPD and influx of medical devices like Foetal heart rate to monitor mothers at home. Pandemic has clearly shown us a new and innovative path for home health services.

The market is already flooded with numerous hospitals, how will RoseWalk stand tall amongst all?
As a maternity healthcare, we encourage and practice skin-to-skin contact initiation right after birth. RoseWalk is a family centered women's hospital with a state of art equipment, modular operation theatres, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where babies born preterm, with low birth weights or first level of congenital birth defects can be treated. The medical team comprises Gynecologist, Neonatologist and Anesthetist who are available 24/7.
RoseWalk nurses make sure the mothers are comfortable with us during the stay and take great care of the child before they go home. The care we shower and the treatment we provide are what make us special.
