Heatwave conditions likely to prevail in Telangana in next 72 hrs : Met

Hyderabad, Mar 31 (UNI) Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban, Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana during the next 72 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.
In a bulletin here, it said that the maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree celsius in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next five days.
The maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius in Rayalaseema during the same period.
Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam on April 2, 3 and 4.
Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the same period.
Heatwave conditions prevailed in Kavali and Ongole of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 41.8 degree Celsius and 41.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Adilabad of Telangana and Tirupati of Rayalaseema on March 30.
The lowest minimum temperature of 19.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Adilabad of Telangana and 20.5 degree Celsius was recorded in Jangamaheswarapuram of Rayalaseema on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures of 39.8 degree celsius and 23.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Hyderabad yesterday, the bulletin added.
