Over 20 investors interested in Chile's Asia-Pacific cable project

Wednesday 31 March 2021 | 12:25 CET | News
Chile's Humboldt transoceanic cable project to connect South America with Oceania and Asia has received over 20 funding proposals amounting to seven times the project's estimated investment, reports website BN Americas, citing the country's transport and telecommunications minister Gloria Hutt. "So far we have seen great international interest in participating in this project," said Hutt at Digital Policy and Law's Chile 5G event, adding that "there is little doubt that this is a necessary project and that its use can benefit the entire region."
