NEW DELHI: Copper prices on Wednesday rose by 0.7 per cent to Rs 670.15 per kg in futures trade on a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 4.65, or 0.7 per cent, to Rs 670.15 per kg in a business turnover of 3,068 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to increase in bets by participants, driven by a pick-up in spot demand.
