#Kolkata: Thursday, April 1, the second round of high voltage voting in West Bengal. The whole state is looking at epicenter Nandigram. Tensions erupt around Mamata vs. Shuvendu clash. At least such information has come up from the affidavit submitted to the commission. BJP’s Bharti Ghosh has emerged as a rich candidate after learning of Dipankar from Kakdwip in Gerua Shibir. There is BJP candidate Hiran Bandyopadhyay from Khargpur Sadar Assembly constituency. According to the affidavit, Hiran has Rs 2 lakh in cash. However, his savings in various banks amount to 1 crore 16 lakh 16 thousand 759 rupees.
The grassroots are not far behind. For example, Arup Chakraborty, the grassroots candidate from Taldanga in Bankura. Ini is the second richest person in the list of candidates in the remote areas of this second round of voting. His assets amount to 55 lakhs. And right after him is Soham Chakraborty, the Trinamool’s candidate from Chandipur in East Midnapore. Tollywood actor Soham’s wealth is Rs 52 lakh in financial terms.
Manas Bhuiyan, a heavyweight candidate from West Midnapore, is also on the rich list. His assets amount to 26 lakhs. However, BJP’s Bishnupur Center candidate Tanmoy Ghosh has more assets than him. According to the affidavit, his assets amount to 32 lakhs. Bishnupur candidate Tanmoy’s income is mainly from rice mill and sand business.
This is followed by Sangram Kumar Dalui. He is a grassroots candidate in the autopsy center. Cricketer Ashok Dinda is the BJP’s heavyweight against him. Meanwhile, Humayun Kabir is next. The Trinamool candidate has declared assets worth Tk 23 lakh in his affidavit. Humayun Kabir is followed by Tarapada Chakraborty of Onda Kendra. The property of this left candidate is 10 lakh rupees. Just below him is Harekrishna Bera, the BJP candidate in Tamil Nadu. Harekrishna Babu has shown property worth Tk 9 lakh in the affidavit.
