There is BJP candidate Hiran Bandyopadhyay from Khargpur Sadar Assembly constituency. According to the affidavit, Hiran has Rs 2 lakh in cash. However, his savings in various banks amount to 1 crore 16 lakh 16 thousand 759 rupees.

The grassroots are not far behind. For example, Arup Chakraborty, the grassroots candidate from Taldanga in Bankura. Ini is the second richest person in the list of candidates in the remote areas of this second round of voting. His assets amount to 55 lakhs.
