I have been lifting rigorously for 6 years now, but never had a desire to become shredded until now. Im 5'9 174 and roughly 15% body fat. Im in the process of setting up my macros and feel like I'm doing a cut wrong. As of now they are 200 P 113 C and 30 F for a total of around 1,500 calories. my maintenance is around 2,500 and I know reducing my caloric intake by 1,000 is drastic but I am trying to have a very defined 6 pack in 2 months. My question is should I keep my carbs as low as possible to help with the process? Additionally I don't consume a lot of fat either besides the fat in my chicken and fat from an avocado in the morning. A typical day will be as followed:
Breakfast: 8 egg whites and half an avocado
Snack before lifting: Apple and Sugar snap peas
After workout: Planta protein shake with a cup of almond milk
Lunch: Entire bag of cauliflower rice and 10 oz of tilapia
Snack 2: Quest protein bar
Dinner: 6 oz of chicken in a plain salad
I would love to know any tips or suggestions concerning this cut. Additionally I run 12 miles a week.
Cheers,
