Thread: If you could, how would you get rid of or reduce corruption in government?

What laws and regulations would you put in place to end or reduce corruption that plagues many countries limiting the potential / living standards of it's citizens.

I would run for Supreme Commander.

It’s way to far gone to change without absolute power and control. It’s corrupt from the top to the bottom.

Any level of bureaucracy would just slow you down and prevent you from accomplishing anything.

My Plan

Elections

No large donations allowed to any politician, political party and organization/foundation associated in anyway with politicians.

Only 1 time small capped donations are allowed.

Media opinion on candidates are banned. Media are biased and have agendas.

All candidates are on an election website which has all their beliefs, agendas, ideas etc.

If anyone wants to know about a candidate they need to go to the election website and read their profile and or listen to debates.

General

Zero benefits / kick backs can go to politicians during or after their time in office.

All government dealings must be transparent.

Corruption would be a serious crime with harsh punishments for all involved.

Each state will have a corruption committee that makes sure no funny business is going on. These committees will make up a national one. All looking to catch grimy politicians.
