Akkineni Nageshwar Rao and NTR were known to be the eyes of the Telugu film Industry. The Golden Era of the industry started with these two. Even the punctuality also started with them in the cinema field. It was a dream for any artist during those days to act with these legendary actors. Akkineni Nagarjuna was one of them in the beginning of his career he had done many movies with Nageshwar Rao. His first movie was 'Agni Puthrudu' in the direction of K.Ragavendrarao which was a super hit.

Then the next movie was 'Collector Gari Abbai' directed by B. Gopal which was also a super hit. And the third 'Iddaru Iddare' one did not go as expected and was a flop. So  Nagarjuna decided to do movies with his father on if the story feels appropriate to him. After 1990 he had done the movie sri ramadasu in 2005 directed by K.Ragavendrarao after 15 years.

This movie was a blockbuster in which Nageswar Rao had done the character of Kabir Das. After the success of this movie, nagarjuna had many movies with his father, but only one movie did not makeup to mark.
