‘There is always a sunrise after a sunset,’ Saina director Amole Gupte on his infamous feud with Aamir Khan
Due to the creative differences, Aamir Khan took over the direction mid-way from the original director Amole Gupte of ‘Taare Zameen Par.’

The infamous feud that arose between Aamir Khan and Amole Gupte over the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ film’s director’s credits had grabbed all the wrong attention. It’s almost 14 years, Amole has once again opened up about the incident when Amole had to settle for the writer and creative director’s credit.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, Amole revealed, “Time flies, my friend, and you need not fear because there is always a sunrise after a sunset. It doesn’t daunt me at all. I am genuinely not a person who sits wallowing in anguish. I take the day by its horns, like a bull, and see what the new day has for me. Therefore, I was able to practice my art form, which is cinema. Well, I survived time. It has been 14 years.”
Taare Zameen Par, is the story of an eight-year-old boy Ishaan (played by Darsheel Safary), who although excels in art, but his poor academic performance leads his parents to send him to a boarding school. Ishaan’s new art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (played by Aamir Khan), suspects that he is dyslexic and helps him to overcome his reading disorder.
The film won several accolades and was appreciated a lot. It will be interesting to be see if Aamir has anything to open about Amole’s view on their infamous feud.
