Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Download Live Now, No Major PS5 and PS4 Improvements

The much awaited Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 is out now. Promising over a hundred fixes to the game on with an emphasis on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, you can download it right away. The Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 download size is 33.6GB on PC and around 44GB on PS4 and PS5. However it appears developer CD Projekt Red has not made good on its promises.

According to video game analysis channel ElAnalistaDeBits, Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 doesn’t really show any major changes on consoles. As per a video on the channel, there are no changes to resolution. The PS5 version is still at 60fps though but at 1244p with slight NPC counts increased though still below Xbox Series X.

As for PS4 and Pro, the level of detail is still low despite slight performance increases though some text is still unreadable and shadows are still blurry. Furthermore in some instances, shadows have been clipped too on all platforms. However interior lighting has been changed with no perceptible impact to performance and environmental occlusion has been improved. You can check out the video yourself right here.

This patch come at an eventful time for CD Projekt Red. A week ago top Polish brokerage house Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska or DM BOŚ released a new report regarding CD Projekt Red's stock market value going as far as to label it the “most hated studio in the world” according to IGN Poland.

“In just a couple of months CD Projekt went from the most beloved studio in the world to the most hated. Regaining trust of players and investors will take years, but it's not impossible,” the report claims.

In addition to this, DM BOŚ lowered its projections of Cyberpunk 2077 sales expecting a decline of 43 percent in the first 12 months from 35 million to 20 million and a four year projection that’s at 49 million from the earlier 70 million forecast, down 30 percent. It will be interesting to see how this update is received after Cyberpunk 2077’s less than stellar launch. Patch 1.2 was slated for earlier in the year but had been delayed due to CD Projekt Red getting hacked. You can check them out for yourself right here.
