Akshay Kumar has finally donned the hat of an archaeologist for his role in the forthcoming film Ram Setu. The actor took to his social media pages and announced that he has kickstarted the shoot of the film finally. Akshay posted his first look from the film in which he is donning a salt-and-pepper long hairdo with thin-framed spectacles. The superstar is seen in a pensive mood and has rightly got into the skin of his character.
While sharing the first look, Akshay wrote, "The journey of making one of the most special films for me begins today. #RamSetu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film. Would love to hear your thoughts on the look? It always matters to me."

Recently, Amazon Prime Video announced its association with the upcoming Hindi movie Ram Setu as a co-producer alongside Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment and Lyca Productions. Directed by Abhishek Sharma and creatively produced by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film is an action-adventure drama that brings forward a story deeply rooted in Indian cultural and historical heritage.
The film also features Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha as the female leads. Ram Setu marks Nushrratt's first outing with Akshay and Jacqueline on the big screen.
The mahurat shot of Ram Setu took place in Ayodhya and the photos went instantly viral on the Internet.
