LUDHIANA: As per the Government of India guidelines, to commemorate India's 75 years of independence, all Customs locations will hold events over the next 75 weeks as a part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', with the beginning of events from 30th March 2021.
As part of this endeavor, CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes) has approved a calendar of activities to be held at various zones. To commemorate the 75 years of independence, Customs Commissionerate, Ludhiana also organized various activities, as laid down by CBIC, on 30th March 2021.
The event started with hoisting an advertising Balloon displaying the message "Azadi Ka Amrit Maotsav" with CBIC logo at the top of the building of Customs Commissionerate, Ludhiana.
The Balloon will be displayed till 15thAugust, 2022. Thereafter, AS Ranga, Commissioner, Customs Ludhiana alongwith officials set off tricolor air balloons. Also, 75 saplings in and around the premises have been planted to mark the celebrations of 75 years of independence. In the coming weeks various other events will be held like webinars & seminars, medical camp etc.
