Palakkad: Prior to the polls in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised the development of fisheries and fertilizers, agriculture and Ayurveda, skills development and social justice, tourism and technology and promised the state ‘rapid’ development under a Bharatiya Janata party.
“The time has come for rapid development in Kerala-F for fisheries and fertilizers, A for agriculture and Ayurveda, S for skills development and social justice and T for tourism and technology,” PM Modi said at a public meeting in Palakkad .
The prime minister hit the opposition parties, saying: “The large number of barriers created by the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has slowed the pace of development.” “Our government is taking many steps for the growth of agriculture and the well-being of farmers. “Governments have promised an increase in the minimum aid price for years, but it was our government that had the honor of raising MSP for farmers,” he added.
Kerala and tourism have a close link, but unfortunately LDF and UDF have not done much to improve tourism infrastructure here, PM Modi added.
Meanwhile, ‘Metroman’ E Sreedharan said during the demonstration of BJP’s candidate from Palakkad: ‘I have drawn up a master plan for this constituency which includes 24-hour water supply and efficient management of solid waste management. I also want green cover for the area by planting 25 lakh trees in the next five years. Premier Modi also praised ‘Metroman’ Sreedharan, saying: ” A man who did an excellent job of modernizing India and improving connectivity, a man admired by all sections of society, dedicated himself to the progress of Kerala. As a true son of Kerala, he thought beyond power, was determined on his commitment to Kerala. ‘The election for the 140-member Kerala meeting will be held on April 6. The counting of votes will be held on 2 May (
