Security tightened in view of PM’s visit to Pondy

Puducherry, Mar 29 (UNI) Security has been tightened in view the visit of prime minister Narendra Modi to Puducherry on Tuesday.
Mr Modi is visiting Puducherry to address an election public meeting at the AFT grounds here Tuesday evening. Traffic on the roads leading to the AFT grounds from the air port was diverted and police personnel are being posted all the way. The AFT ground was under the control of the police department for the last two days.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate Purva Garg declared the entire Puducherry region as a “No Fly Zone". In her order under 144 Cr PC, she said that the flying of any kind of aviation devices including UAV, Drones etc in Puducherry region is prohibited for the day for today and tomorrow. Any violation of this order is punishable under section 188 of IPC and other relevant provision of law, she added.
