Babil Khan wears father Irrfan Khan’s dress for Filmfare Awards; uncover the story behind the dress
Babil Khan accepted Irrfan Khan’s posthumous award for Best Actor and Lifetime Achievement Award at Filmfare Awards 2021.

The 66th edition of the Filmfare Awards was held in Mumbai on Saturday evening and Irrfan Khan won a posthumous award: Best Actor – for his work in Angrezi Medium. Irrfan Khan died on April 29 in Mumbai at the age of 53 last year after a long battle with cancer. The late actor was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event last night.
Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil Khan walked the red carpet and received two awards on behalf of his late father. For the event, Babil revealed that he had borrowed clothes from his father’s wardrobe and also revealed why his father disliked participating in fashion shows and the ramps adorning them.
Babil shared a small video of himself where his mother is helping him get dressed for the awards night.
“Mamma dressing me up. People always say that you simply cannot fit into your father’s shoes but at the slightest, I can fit into his dress. I fair need to appear all my appreciation to the audience and our industry since of the warmth and adore that you simply have embraced our family with, and all I can truly say is simple and I will make this travel together and take Indian cinema to unused statures, I promise,” he composed beside the post.
