Australia adopts radio waves safety standard

The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (Arpansa), the authority that provides advice to the Australian Government on radiation protection, has released its new Standard for Limiting Exposure to Radiofrequency Fields - 100 kHz to 300 GHz. The Standard sets the limits for safe exposure to electromagnetic energy (EME) emissions for workers and the general public and is enforced by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
