The NIA on Sunday recovered a digital video recorder (DVR), CPUs, a laptop and two number plates from Mithi river.
The NIA team took Vaze to the spot around 3 pm.
The NIA took the help of professional and local divers who know the river well.
The NIA also recovered routers, printer cartridges and other materials from the river.
On March 21, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) ordered the NIA to take over the Mansukh Hiren death case.
More evidence is likely to be recovered, officials said.
NIA is probing the cases of the recovery of an explosives-laden SUV found outside the residence of Mukesh Ambani last month and the subsequent murder of Mansukh Hiren.
A team of 11 divers were involved in searching the evidence thrown into the Mithi river.
The search for evidence was underway till late evening.
"On being confronted with circumstantial evidence, accused Sachin Waze confessed that some pieces of evidence were tossed into Mumbai's Mithi river," NIA sources were quoted as saying by ANI.
The sources said that the recovered DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) are of Waze's housing society where the Scorpio car was parked between February 17-24, of shops where various number plates were made and of other places where Waze suspected that his movement could have been captured.
The evidence was in Waze’s custody till the time of Mansukh’s death, they added.
Hiran was the owner of the explosives-laden SUV which was found abandoned near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
He had reported the car missing just two days before the security scare.
On March 5, Hiran was found dead in a creek in Thane.
