‘OK Computer’ makers were looking for a science fiction piece coming from India ‘

Mumbai: The creators Neil Pagedar and Pooja Shetty of the new science-fiction comedy series “OK Computer” feel that it’s time for us to become aware of how artificial intelligence affects the life and lifestyle around us.

‘If science and technology move so fast, how fast should civilization, laws, lifestyle and structure change and be aware of these things? That was what we wanted to do with the show. The main premise of the program is that who gets the blame if AI kills a person? Our lives are surrounded by artificial intelligence. What would you do if you killed someone? These are very important and relevant questions, ”Shetty said.

Can technology overwhelm people in the future? ‘The question is not really how or when technology will overwhelm humanity, but the questions are what man intends to do with technology. In the hands of an oppressor, even the most positive technology can become a weapon. “We have to ask ourselves very urgent and important questions about our own morality, our ideas of equality and equality and how technology will be spread by mankind,” Pagedar replied.

In the web series with Vijay Varma and Radhika Apte, Jackie Shroff plays a key role. Shetty led her experience with Shroff, saying, ‘Jackie was really a pleasure. He brought in so many nuances, ideas and quirks. Directors usually have to take care of actors, but it was quite the opposite and he took care of us! He reassured us a lot, performed so well and he just got the character we wanted. Even when he improvised, it was right in that character’s space and that applies to all the actors. ”

The duo feel that their show is meant to provide for everyone. As a creator, I would say it’s for everyone. It’s just as much for an older generation as it is for younger people. When I was 12 or 13 and was in school, I was really looking for a science fiction piece coming from India. There is certainly a great pursuit for young people, but it is suitable for everyone. The conversations that come out of the program are for all of us, ”said Pagedar.

“OK Computer” was written and produced by Anand Gandhi, who rules the celebrity of the movie “Ship Of Theseus”. The series is streaming on Disney + Hotstar.
