LAPLACE, La. (AP) — Louisiana State Police say a 66-year-old man is dead after his vehicle was struck head-on by a truck that crossed into incoming traffic.
Authorities say Eliseo Randolfo Jordan of Kenner died Saturday in the crash on U.S. 51 in LaPlace. Jordan was driving southbound when an oncoming pickup truck crossed the center line and smashed into Jordan’s vehicle head-on, The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate reported.
The impact pushed Jordan’s vehicle into a 3rd car. That driver suffered minor injuries. State police said the driver of the truck that crashed into Jordon was also injured an taken to a hospital. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
