Tope asks tests in city

Jalna, Mar 28 (UNI) The increasing number of coronaviruses in Jalna district is alarming and the state's Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare and District Guardian Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday directed to start more swab collection centers in Jalna city focusing on Tracing ,Testing and Treatment (TTT)of patients.
While addressing a review meeting was held with the chief officers of the administration in connection with the corona in the hall of the Collector's office.
While guiding the audience on the occasion.
On this occasion, District Collector Ravindra Binwade, District Superintendent of Police Vinayak Deshmukh, Zilla Parishad's Q. Chief Executive Officer Pratap Sawade, Resident Deputy Collector Keshav Netke among several others officials were present.
Mr Tope said that the number of tracing and testing should be increased in Jalna district. There is a separate RTPCR lab for Jalna district and the capacity of this lab is one thousand swab tests per day and one thousand tests must be done every day.
In addition to the district general hospital, more swab collection centers should be opened in Jalna city.
If more than one thousand swabs are collected, the swabs should be sent to Aurangabad or Pune for investigation so that the report is not delayed.
Emphasis should be placed on isolating the corona victims by accurately tracking their contact,he added.
