Yusuf Pathan, on Saturday (March 27), took to Twitter to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The announcement came on the same day as legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar said that returned positive results for virus.
The former India cricketer, 38, has said that he showcased mild symptoms for the virus and is in self isolation at home with all necessary precautions and medical attention in place.
“I've tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required,” Pathan, who played for the India Legends team in the Road Safety Series with Tendulkar, wrote on Twitter.
“I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest.”

The Road Safety World Series matches were played in Raipur this year and India won the final against Sri Lanka Legends to win the title last Sunday (March 21). Besides the Pathan brothers and Sachin Tendulkar, many other big names in Indian cricket participated in the tantalising tournament.
On Saturday morning, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar had announced that he tested positive after showcasing mild symptoms. Sports Today provided a health update that the legendary cricketer, who is in home quarantine, had a little bit of fever on Friday but was fine as of Saturday morning.
