IPL 2021: Good news for Rajasthan Royals; Mustafizur Rahman given NOC: Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman has been given a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mustafizur would be representing Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021.

With their leading pacer Jofra Archer uncertain to play in the tournament due to an injury, the presence of Mustafizur would be greatly appreciated by the 2008 IPL winners.

‘The Fizz’, as Rahman is known in world cricket, is known for his trademark ‘cutter’ with which he made a big impact at the start of his international career. He has a decent record in IPL, having taken 24 wickets in 24 matches.

Mustafizur made a big impact in the 2016 season, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he picked up 17 wickets and won the Emerging Player of the Year Award. He was picked up by Mumbai Indians for the 2018 season and is now with the Rajasthan Royals.

England’s leading wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler would be joining the Rajasthan Royals squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season on the upcoming Monday. Buttler is currently captaining the England team in absence of Eoin Morgan.

While answering an ANI query during a virtual press conference on Saturday, Buttler said he would link up with the Rajasthan Royals squad in Mumbai. He also said the cash-rich league will play an important role with the T20 World Cup coming up at the end of the year.

“Yes (when asked whether Buttler will join RR squad on Monday for IPL 2021). To an extent, this year’s IPL will be most important. I have played a number of IPLs, have gotten used to the conditions having played a lot of cricket here. We also had one T20 World Cup in India as well in 2016.
