How much dietary fat is too little

I’ve been dieting for a few months and my current dietary fat intake is 50g per day. I’m 170 lbs so is my fat intake too low? I know dietary fats don’t make you fat, I just prefer to have a diet higher in carbs btw.

Also, what are some of the side effects of a diet that is too low in fats. Can it mess with your metabolism at all? Because I’ve noticed that during this cut my calories are a little lower than They were in previous cuts despite being bigger.

I'd say 50g is pretty darn low... but in theory, if you feel good and you're getting in enough essential fats, you won't be 'deficient' per se. You just might not be optimal in terms of hormones etc...
The power of carbs compels me!

That’s what I assumed, and I feel pretty good. I might swap out some carbs for an extra 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or some other fat source and see what happens. My carbs are at 315g so I have some wiggle room in my diet. Thanks.
