Mah hospital fire: Bhandup police registers FIR against Dream mall owner

Mumbai March 27 (UNI) An offence of culpable homicide has been registered against the Dream mall at Bhandup and COVID-19 care facility management in which a major fire broke out late Thursday night killing ten patients, police said.

Bhandup police station has registered FIR and booked the mall directors Rakesh Wadhawan promotor of Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) along with his brother Sarang Wadhawan, Rakesh's daughter Nikita Trehan along with concerned people of now gutted Sunrise hospital and Privilege Healthcare which owns the hospital.

Senior PI Ram Shinde said that "We have registered an offence against the directors and hospital management under the Indian Penal Code section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 34 (common intention)".
