With the support of Center, states like T’gana can compete with China: KTR

Hyderabad: Progressive states like Telangana can compete with big manufacturing countries like China once started thinking and planning right, IT Minister KT Rama Rao said on Friday. He spoke at the Indian Economic Conclave 2021, organized by the Times Group.

KTR said during a virtual discussion on ‘States to Watch Out For In The Next Decade’: ‘If India and progressive states like Telangana start thinking on a large scale and plan to compete with big manufacturing countries like China, we need to set up big industrial parks and industrial corridors that further translate into economies of scale for our manufacturers. ”

KTR has stated that IT, life sciences, defense, aviation, textiles and logistics are sunrise sectors and that it will help in this direction.

The Minister of IT recalled that NITI Aayog recommended financial support of 24 000 million for mission Bhagiratha, but the center could not give 24 paisa. “Apart from praise, Telangana has never received financial support,” he said.

‘In a federal republic like India, the center must support and cooperate states. “The government of India must realize that the support of a state that acts properly will ultimately help the country,” he said on March 26.

KTR mentions that Hyderabad was the city that supplied the vaccines to the whole country but has not yet received the necessary provision or funds to continue. ‘We are a city of international importance and send vaccines to 70-80 countries. While we produce 35 percent of the worldwide vaccines in Hyderabad, our vaccination testing laboratory is 1200 km away in Kasauli. ”

He concluded his speech by saying: “Telangana is an executive state that is contributing to the growth of the country, and it is time for the Union Government to take us into confidence and work together.”
