Blizzard has announced a major change to its Game Time plans for World of Warcraft. As part of the new plans, it is no longer possible to get Game Time options of 30, 90, and 180 days. The only Game Time option available now is for 60 days.
The announcement also makes it clear that pricing for the subscription itself, as well as WoW Tokens will not be affected by the changes in purchasable Game Time. Any Game Time that has already been purchased will also not be affected.
Those looking for month-to-month subscriptions still have the option by providing Blizzard with their debit or credit card details for recurring subscription. In fact, the only way to get 30 months of play time in World of Warcraft thanks to these changes would be to subscribe and cancel the recurring subscription.
It is important to note that since these changes affect overall World of Warcraft accounts, they will also be affected World of Warcraft Classic.
Blizzard recently kicked off the beta for The Burning Crusade Classic. Over the course of the beta test, those who have opted in as beta testers through their Battle.net settings will be getting invites for the beta.
As is usually the case for a Blizzard game’s beta test, not everyone is guaranteed access. Blizzard also warns players against phishing attempts that might lure a potential player in by offering access to the beta.
