ICICI Securities Report

Varun Beverages Ltd. is better prepared to tackle the impact of second wave of Covid-19 in 2021 than it was in 2020.

The company has aggressively invested in driving in-home consumption over the past year and has also introduced 1.25 litre stock-keeping units.

It is also relatively better prepared now in terms of logistics and distribution.

In the event of another strict lockdown, volume offtake will be materially impacted. However, if lockdowns are only on weekends, the impact on volumes will be much less, and it will be negligible in case of night lockdown.
