WiAdvance, a subsidiary of Wistron, is looking to start expanding its presence in the 5G and AIoT solutions markets in Southeast Asia in 2022, according to company president Michael Hsia.
Wistron has formed an alliance with Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) to push into the 5G and AIoT markets.
CHT has agreed to invest in WiAdvance to acquire a 20% stake in the company.
Hsia pointed out that the alliance will mainly target two business fields, enterprise cloud services and private 5G networks first in Taiwan, and it will definitely enter the Southeast Asia market.
WiAdvance hopes CHT, which has been operating in Vietnam and Thailand for a quite a while, will facilitate its entry into the Southeast Asia market.
