The BollywoodLife.com Awards 2021 winners were announced in a star-studded digital event on Friday morning. The awards are the first and one of its kind digital-only awards based on online nominations and voting by the audience. The audience picked their best of best from hundreds of nominees across 60 categories in Bollywood, OTT, Social, South, Bhojpuri and TV. Talking about OTT, we saw a lot of amazing content across various platforms right from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Voot, Zee5, Alt Balaji, MX Player and more. Arshad Warsi’s portrayal of DJ proves his versatility and that he can do much much more than comic roles. No wonder, fans picked him as the winner for his powerful, intense performance. And now, we cannot wait for Asur 2.

Kirti Kulhari is growing in the OTT space and how. In Four More Shots Please Season 2, Kirti played the role of Anjana Menon, a single mother and a successful lawyer. Kirti’s portrayal of Anjana was to the point, so much so that you could feel all her emotions. Thank god, the season 3 of Four More Shot has already started rolling. Can’t wait!

Bobby Deol’s Aashram has won the Most Popular Web Series award this year. Aashram was truly unique a concept for OTT. Directed by Prakash Jha, it narrated the story of a baba, played by Bobby Deol, who derives his power from the influence he has over the lower strata of the society.

Best Action Thriller of the year – Asur

Asur is set in the backdrop of the mystical city of Varanasi. It follows Nikhil Nair, a forensic-expert-turned-teacher, who returns to his roots at the Central Bureau of Investigation. Along with his former mentor Dhananjay Rajpoot, they find themselves in a cat-and-mouse game with a brutal serial killer who wants evil to prevail and therefore wants to eliminate all the good. Top class performance, writing, thrill and technicalities makes Asur the winner.
