Over 4.4 lakh students attained first class in 2020 Class 12 exams

A total of 12,04,834 students appeared in the Intermediate Annual Examination last year out of which 6,56,301 boys and 5,48,533 were girls, according to The Indian Express. Out of these, 4,43,284 students passed in the first class, 4,69,439 students in the second class and 56,115 students in the third class.

New marking scheme was used in 2021 board exams

The 50-mark language papers have been converted to one 100-marks exam in the 2021 Class 12 board exams.

The number of additional subjects has also increased. Students have the option to select six subjects and the best of five will be calculated. Students  can also chose an elective subject. In case a student fails in one of the major subjects, the marks of the elective subject will be counted

Exams were held in two sessions

Class 12 exams were held from 1 to 13 February. The exam was held in two sessions - morning from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm and afternoon from 1.45 pm to 5 pm.

Students must obtain at 30% marks in theory to pass exam

To pass the BSEB Class 12 exam, a candidate must obtain 30 percent in the theory section and 40 percent of the total marks in the practical of each subject. To achieve the first division, a student has to score 300 marks.

In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 percent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 percent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 percent marks in total but has failed in one subject by not over 10 percent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed.

Around 13 lakh students had registered for the exams this year of which 6.46 lakh were girls while around 7 lakh were boys.

Last year, the results of BSEB Class 12 were announced on 24 March. This year, the results got postponed due to the delay in the evaluation of response sheets.

Steps to check Bihar board's Class 12 result

Step 1: Go to the website of the Board and click on the “Bihar Intermediate Result 2021” link on the homepage

Step 2: Fill in the details, including your stream, roll number, date of birth and others required

Step 3: A new window will open displaying your results

Step 4: Download and take a print out of the same for future reference

Bihar board to declare Class 12 result at 3 pm

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will announce the class 12 or inter exam results 2021 at 3 pm.

Students who have appeared in Bihar board intermediate examinations can check their results on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, biharboard.ac.in, biharboardonline.com, onlinebseb.in, and biharboardonline.com.

Bihar Board Class 12th Result 2021 LATEST News and Updates: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced Class 12 exam results today (Friday 26 March) at 3.30 pm, according to reports.

Candidates can check their results on the official websites — biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, biharboard.ac.in, biharboardonline.com, onlinebseb.in, and biharboardonline.com.

Follow the steps below to check results:

Step 1: Go to the website of the Board and click on the “Bihar Intermediate Result 2021” link on the homepage

Step 2: Fill in the details, including your stream, roll number, date of birth and others required

Step 3: A new window will open displaying your results

Step 4: Download and take a print out of the same for future reference

The BSEB Class 12 exam concluded on 13 February.

Last year, the results of BSEB Class 12 were announced on 24 March.

This year, the results got postponed due to the delay in the evaluation of response sheets.

In February, BSEB had issued a circular announcing the change in the schedule of evaluation of the Class 12 response sheets.

It was revised to begin from 5 March and end by 15 March.

The board had earlier released the intermediate answer key and students were asked to submit objections till 16 March.
