Square Enix and Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass tie-up may extend beyond Outriders and existing Final Fantasy releases on the service. According to a tweet from IGN Korea (via Games Radar) six more games from Square Enix are expected to hit Xbox Game Pass. While none of these have been mentioned or officially announced yet, it will be interesting to see what ends up landing on it. With Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s PlayStation exclusivity set to expire in April, speculation is abound that this may land on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

:) pic.twitter.com/CNssWVW75y— IGN Korea (@ign_korea) March 25, 2021
Earlier in the month, Xbox confirmed that the Square Enix-published Outriders would come for Xbox Game Pass for Console, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on its April 1 launch day.
"Starting April 1 (not an April Fool’s joke, I assure you)," reads the announcement, "Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can jump into this true genre-hybrid from Square Enix, which combines brutal combat with deep RPG systems."
Considering the flagging numbers for Marvel’s Avengers, Xbox Game Pass could give that game another lease on life too. More so with the Black Panther DLC on the way.
Previously, Microsoft announced a host of Bethesda games for Xbox Game Pass in addition to a frame rate boost for some of them that has had mixed results.
