    Gold futures decline on low demand

    On Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for June delivery slipped by Rs 142 to Rs 44,970 per 10 grams.

    NEW DELHI: Gold futures on Friday fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 44,970 per 10 gram as participants offloaded their holdings on low spot demand.

    On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for June delivery slipped by Rs 142, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 44,970 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 1,056 lots.

    However, in the international market, gold was trading 0.10 per cent higher at USD 1,729.10 per ounce in New York.
