Varun Dhawan to play a handicapped cop in Hindi remake of ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’
Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for Bhediya in Arunachal Pradesh.

After giving several hits like Dishoon and Judwaa 2, the duo Varun Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala has come together with another project titled, ‘Sanki.’
Now, we can tell you that the film is actually an official remake of a South film. A source says, “Sajid Nadiadwala had bought the official rights to the superhit Tamil thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Sanki is a remake of the same film. They are adapting the screenplay to suit the pan-India platform.”
Reportedly, Parineeti Chopra is in discussion with Nadiadwala for Sanki pairing opposite to Varun Dhawan.
Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra have once worked in Rohit Dhawan’s Dishoom, but that too in a song titled Jaaneman Aah. But we can be hopeful about these two actors sharing screen in near future. Reportedly, Parineeti is in discussion with Sajid Nadiadwala for his next film with Varun.
Now, the makers want to finalise Parineeti opposite Varun. This will also be a fresh pairing for the audience and the fans because Varun and Parineeti have never done a film together before.
Parineeti’s last release was The Girl On The Train – an official adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling book by the same name – which had an OTT release. Her next Saina will release on March 26th. The sports-drama Saina’s trailer was released on International Women’s Day. The nearly two-minute-long trailer of Saina shows how a girl from a small village in Haryana dreams about becoming the world’s no 1 badminton player, and how her parents help her out in fulfilling her dream.
On the other hand, Varun is busy shooting for his next, horror-comedy Bhediya, in Arunachal Pradesh.
