
Bihar Board BSEB 12th Result 2021 HIGHLIGHTS: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of intermediate or class 12 arts, science, commerce examinations on March 26. A total of 78.04 per cent students cleared the intermediate exam successfully, with girls at 80.57 per cent pass percentage fared better in the overall pass percentage than boys whose pass percentage is 75.71 per cent.
The girls also dominated the merit list, the topper in science stream is Sonali Kumari while Sunanda Kumari has secured the top place in commerce stream. The humanities stream topper is Madhu Bharti who jointly topped with Kailash Kumar.

It's been hours since the intermediate result declared at 3 pm today, the official website- biharboardonline.com is not working. Nearly 13.50 lakh students who are enrolled for this year's exam are yet to get their result.

In the science stream, Sonali Kumari has topped with 471 marks. Sunanda Kumari is the topper in commerce stream, while Madhu Bharti and Kailash Kumar Jamui are joint toppers in arts stream.
The pass percentage in intermediate exam was 78.04 per cent this year, dropped from 80.44 per cent last year.
The pass percentage also dropped stream wise, in the commerce stream, it was dropped from 93.26 per cent last year to 91.48 per cent this year, in arts stream, the pass percentage dropped from 81.44 per cent to 77.97 per cent, while in science stream it was a marginal dip from 77.39 per cent to 76.2 per cent this year.

A total of 12,04,834 students appeared in the Intermediate Annual Examination last year out of which 6,56,301 boys and 5,48,533 were girls. Furthermore, a total of 4,43,284 students have passed in the first class, 4,69,439 students in the second class and 56,115 students in the third class.

The Bihar Board has shifted towards having 50 per cent objective type questions in the exam. The move has been introduced to assess students on their conceptual clarity but this has also resulted in a faster result and higher pass percentage. Further, more than 20 per cent internal choice is also given to the students.
Amid coronavirus pandemic, the Bihar board BSEB will announce the results of the intermediate, class 12 examination on Friday, March 26. In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed
