Mah: Woman RFO commits suicide in Melghat

Amravati, Mar 26 (UNI) A 32-year-old woman Range Forest Officer of Melgat Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra allegedly committed suicide, a senior police official of Dharni police station said here on Friday.
The RFO was identified as Deepali Chavan, shot herself with a service revolver at her government quarter in Harisal, a village in Melghat, Maharashtra's Amravati district on Thursday evening.
Chavan was posted in Harisal under Gogamal forest division of Melghat Tiger Reserve, he said.
A suicide note was found from the spot but the police did not reveal its contents.
Hence the reason behind taking this extreme step by Chavan, could not be ascertained.
Further investigation was on, police added.
