
The DA in KwaZulu-Natal will host its provincial elective congress this weekend to decide who will lead the party to the polls later this year.
The party's 575 delegates, some of whom will descend on the Durban International Convention Centre, will elect a new leadership on Saturday.
The DA said the elective congress would be a hybrid event, with some delegates connecting via a virtual platform.
The race for the top post, that of provincial leader, has turned into a three-horse race, pitting the party's KZN chief whip, Francois Rodgers, eThekwini caucus leader Nicole Graham and her deputy Emmanuel Mhlongo, against each another.
The battle for the deputy provincial leader post, is to be contested between Christopher Pappas, Hlengiwe Shozi and Samier Singh.
Dean Macpherson and Bongumusa Nhlabathi will go head to head for the provincial chairperson position.
Three deputy provincial chairpersons will be chosen from Shehana Kajee, Marlaine Nair, Joseph Ngema, Sithembiso Ngema, Elma Rabe, Sagar Singh and Jacobus Theron.
The congress is scheduled to start at 9am and end at 4pm with results to be announced live.
