Aranya movie though portrays the same exact plot that the director wants to say to the audience, the emotional connect is badly missing in the screenplay. The second part could be shot much better to attain attention of the audience.

Plot
Forest minister, Rajagopalam played by Anant Mahadev comes up with a plan to build a smart city in the middle of the forest. The area is home for wild elephants and survival of human there can greatly affect the species living there. Aranya played by rana is a native to the area and is called as a forest man. The movie is about the battle that he does against the government to stop the construction of the city.
Performance

Rana gave his best performance as a forest man in the movie. He did the one-man-show and shouldered the entire film. His mannerisms as a forest man will win the hearts. Vishnu vishal also gave his best. Sriya Pilgoankar also delivers decent performance. raghu babu did hit bit of comedy very well. Villains ravi kale and Anant Mahadev lived in their roles.
Technicians

The visuals and music formed soul to the movie. Resul Pookkutty gave best sound effects. director prabhu solomon took up a story that is very close to the reality and established it on the screen exactly the way it should be. Though the first half is engaging, the second half fails to do so. Few scenes in the second half seem illogical at times.
