MUMBAI: Residential and commercial consumers of BEST in parts of Central Mumbai, which includes areas in Dadar and Matunga, faced power cuts on Thursday evening due to tripping of a feeder.
A BEST spokesperson said that following complaints from consumers, a team of engineers was deployed and the work for restoration was expedited. The power supply was restored in 35 minutes, an official said, adding that this was the second incident in less than a week of a feeder tripping.
Earlier on March 19, there was power outage at the Maharashtra Secretariat building due to high voltage at the Nariman Point receiving station and tripping of the feeder. A few other buildings in Nariman Point had also faced power cuts.
