Karachi, Mar 25 (UNI) All the 22 members of the Pakistan squad and 13 officials tested negative for COVID-19 on Thursday and they are prepared to fly out to South Africa on Friday morning.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had carried out COVID-19 tests four times on all the players and officials ahead of the tour.
One player, Hasan Ali, had tested positive a week ago and had to stay back at his residence while the rest of the squad moved ahead to kickstart training on March 19 followed by two intrasquad 50-over games on March 20 and 22.
Hasan also later cleared all the required tests and is now among a squad with a clean bill of health.
On the South Africa tour, Pakistan will play three ICC ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches from April 2-7 and four T20Is from April 10-16.
The side will then depart for Harare, Zimbabwe, for three T20Is and two Tests, before returning home on May 12.
