ZUF, ZSUD & LNCM condemn brutal murder at Lamhai Namdi

Imphal, March 24 2021: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) condemned the heinous act committed by armed miscreants on March 22, 2021 at Lamhai Namdi village under Peren district where 3 villagers were shot dead.

The ZUF in a press release, urged the responsible organisations or individuals to come out and provide a valid reason for the barbaric and inhuman act.

ZUF further appealed to the State Government to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi (ZSUD) in its statement, vehemently condemned the brutal murder of three innocent villagers of Lamhai Namdi village in broad daylight by unidentified assailants.

ZSUD expressed shock to learn that not only were their limbs cut off but their bodies were burnt after killing them and stated that no cause can justify such brutality and senseless killing.

It said that the massacre of innocent lives and unhindered firing upon unarmed farmers by a group of fully armed men with sophisticated weapons is a worst form of cowardice and there is no place for such barbaric actions in a civilized society.

ZSUD appealed to the law enforcing agencies and the government to leave no stone unturned in arresting the perpetrators and award befitting punishment.

The Union also appealed to all Naga National Workers irrespective of the organisations to come forward and extend active cooperation.

Likewise, the Liangmai Naga Council Manipur (LNCM) also condemned the gory incident at Lamhai Namdi village and urged the authorities concerned and the Government to nab the absconding perpetrators at the earliest.

Further, the ZUF, ZSUD & LNCM extended solidarity and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
