GHMC mayor holds meeting with medical officers

Hyderabad: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Thursday instructed GHMC health and sanitation wing officials to monitor sanitation and hygiene in hotels in the city. She asked the officials to carry out regular inspections, even if no complaints are received from citizens, to ensure that the food prepared and served in the hotels is hygienic.

The mayor suggested that it would be better if GHMC moved the common ‘Feed the Need’ refrigerators for the homeless and homeless. poor, closer to hotels, so that the food stored in the refrigerators is in a better condition to eat.

She asked the AMOHs to give their feedback on the inspection of hotels so that appropriate steps can be taken to improve sanitation. The mayor also investigated the renovated nursery school, which is located on the ground floor of the GHMC head office.

Meanwhile, a notice issued by GHMC was withdrawn, in which applications from aspirants to invite co-option as members of GHMC were withdrawn. The authorities have taken the step with a view to continuous holidays and fewer working days in the following month of April. The GHMC will soon issue a revised schedule.
