Congress submits memorandum to President

Imphal, March 24 2021: Congress leaders of Manipur led by AICC in-charge Bhakta Charan Das ex-MP, Manipur PCC President Govindas Konthoujam and AICC CWC Regular Member Gaikhangam called on the President of India Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi today and submitted memorandum in connection with the alleged violation of constitutional role of Governor in matters related to disqualification of 12 MLAs as Parliamentary Secretaries in Manipur.

All Congress MLAs signed the memorandum which was submitted to the President of India.

MLAs Gaikhangam, K Govindas, DD Thaisi, along with former MP Bhakta Charan Das were present in the meeting with the President.

Subsequently, after meeting the President, a press briefing by Congress leaders was held in New Delhi today.
