Shenandoah police investigating shooting

Mar. 24—SHENANDOAH — Police from three municipalities are investigating a mid-morning shooting in the borough.

Authorities have not released the identities of anyone involved in the shooting at 26 N. West St. Chief of Police George Carado and other borough officers, along with police officers from Frackville and West Mahanoy Township, were on scene.

The unidentified victim was taken to a medical facility for treatment. Carado said when leaving the scene that details will be released after he does interviews and an investigative team from the Pennsylvania State Police arrive at the scene.
