Jessica Walter Dead - 'Arrested Development' Star Dies at 80

Beloved actress Jessica Walter, known for her work in Arrested Development and Archer, has died at the age of 80.

The 80-year-old actress passed away on Wednesday (March 24) at her home in New York. Her daughter, Brooke Bowman, confirmed the tragic news.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica,” her daughter told THR. “A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off. While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre.”

Her husband of 36 years, Tony-winning actor Ron Leibman, died in 2019 at age 82.

Jessica won an Emmy in 1975 for her series Amy Prentiss. She was nominated a few other times over the years, including once in 2005 for her beloved character Lucille Bluth in Arrested Development.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this time.
