Spanish telecom market revenues down 5% to EUR 6.1 bln in Q4, fibre up 2%

Total revenues for the Spanish telecommunication and audiovisual retail sector came to EUR 6.07 billion in the final quarter of 2020, down 4.9 percent compared to the year-earlier result of EUR 6.39 billion, according to the latest update from communications regulator CNMC. The quarterly result is slightly down on the previous quarter's annual fall of 3.8 percent but an improvement on the lockdown-affected 10.6 percent slump posted in the April to June period. A 2.4 percent year on year rise in fixed broadband revenues partly offset a decline in all other segments.
