When and How to Get 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Sanrio Amiibo Cards
Sanrio, the global lifestyle brand best known for its pop icons such as Hello Kitty, Aggretsuko and Keroppi, is taking part in a crossover with Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will soon have a chance to get their hands on exclusive Sanrio amiibo cards. These cards will unlock various Sanrio-themed items, as well as invite a special guest to your island.
Nintendo put out a trailer a few weeks back to show off what players can get with these special amiibo cards. You'll be able to dress up like Hello Kitty and other characters from the Sanrio brand, and receive special items to deck out your homes and island.

HOW TO GET ANIMAL CROSSING SANRIO AMIIBO CARDS
The Sanrio Animal Crossing amiibo cards are only being sold at Target starting Friday, March 26, beginning at 9 a.m. EDT.
According to Target's weekly ad, these special packs will be available to order online and can only be ordered via Order Pickup or Drive Up only. Quantities are limited, and there are no rain checks. The main video game page on Target's side confirms that the retailer is limiting it to two orders per customer.
Each pack will go for $5.99.
Be sure to get to your computer early, and good luck trying to purchase your special Animal Crossing amiibo cards.
ANIMAL CROSSING: POCKET CAMP COLLABORATION
If Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is more your bag, then you're in luck, as the mobile game is having its own special collaboration with the Sanrio brand.
From March 26 at 2 a.m. EDT to May 10 at 1:59 a.m. ET, the Sanrio Characters Collection 2021 in-game event will bring Sanrio character-themed items to players' campsites.
From now through the end of the in-game event, players can experience the following additions to the game:
- All players who log in during the event period can receive a free Sanrio Characters clock in-game item by tapping the gift icon.
- Players can redeem Leaf Tickets for one new Sanrio-themed fortune cookie at the Fortune Cookie Shop, with each fortune cookie providing players one of 10 different Sanrio items.
- Players will be able to craft Sanrio gifts to send to their friends, which randomly reward friends with one of several special Sanrio character-themed uchiwa fans. There are a variety of fans to collect featuring fan-favorite Sanrio characters, including Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, Aggretsuko and many more.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available to download for free on the Apple and Google Play Stores.
