Ranchi: The flight schedule at the Birsa Munda International Airport will be revised starting March 28 as the final resurfacing work on the runway will commence from that day.
According to airport officials, a final resurfacing of the runway is to take place from March 28-April 27 between 11am to 5pm on a daily basis and accordingly a few flights will be rescheduled during the same period.
The director of the Birsa Munda International Airport, Vinod Sharma, said: “The schedule of four flights that operate between 11am to 5pm would be affected, but the exact timings of the affected flights are yet to be finalise.,” He added that operations will remain normal from 6:45am to 11am and 5pm to 9pm on all days
Notably, the resurfacing of the runway at the airport is being carried out for the last couple of months and only the last resurfacing is left.
