Look, it's no secret that we have all been patiently waiting for RiRi to drop new music. We also know that she is in no rush to do so. But now, the Work singer has teased fans by hinting that she may be releasing something in the not-so-distant future.
Here's what happened:
RiRi shared an Instagram post celebrating Anti's fifth year on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Chart Data, this is the first album by a black female artist to reach that milestone.
"Grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle," she captioned the post, adding the hashtags "#Anti" and "#WomensHistoryMonth".
"Congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team," she went on to say.
When a fan reached out in the comments section and asked Rihanna to celebrate the achievement by "releasing a song", RiRi responded: "I think I should," along with a "soon" emoji.
She then added in a separate comment: "Just 1 tho lol."
Rihanna's last studio album, Anti, was released in 2016. In 2020 the singer featured on PartyNextDoor's track, Believe It.
