Royal Enfield launched the updated 2021 Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 only a few days ago. Now the motorcycle manufacturer has released two brand new advertisements for these bikes. The advertisement highlights the best of these two body types of the 650cc-powered Royal Enfield twins.

The TVC of the Royal Enfield Interceptor highlights the easy riding ability that makes it perfect for long-distance easy cruising on the highways. The Continental GT650, on the other hand, is much more aggressive, when it comes to the riding position and hence, it is much more suitable for aggressive riding. Royal Enfield shows a group racing around in India’s only Formula 1 track – the Budh International Circuit.

Interestingly, the new 2021 Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 do not get any mechanical changes. The only update that Royal Enfield has done to both the bikes is to add new colours. There was a lot of expectations around the Royal Enfield Tripper accessory to be made available with the new updated 2021 Interceptor and the Continental GT 650. However, Royal Enfield did not offer the much-awaited accessory with the updated variants of the bike. Nonetheless, Royal Enfield may offer the same as an accessory at a later date.

The updated colours of the new 2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor include Canyon Red and Ventura Blue. There are two new custom or dual colour tones – Downtown Drag and Sunset Strip. Royal Enfield has also updated the chrome version of the bike and it is now known as the Mark 2.

The Continental GT650 gets the following colours – Rocker Red standard, British Racing Green, and two new dual-tone colourways – Dux Deluxe and Ventura Storm. The chrome variant of the Continental GT650 is also updated to Mister Clean.

No other changes

Both the bikes are powered by the same engine option. They get the twin-cylinder 648cc, air-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces a maximum power of 47 Bhp and peak torque of 52 Nm. Both the motorcycles get a 6-speed transmission and a slipper clutch.

The launch of the 650 Twins marked a new chapter for Royal Enfield and for the mid-sized motorcycle segment. The global success of these motorcycles over the last couple of years has been phenomenal with the Interceptor growing the 500cc+ category by more than 4-times in India, and also becoming the best selling naked motorcycle in the mid-sized category in the UK in 2020. The introduction of Make-It-Yours on the 650 Twin motorcycles in October last year further enhanced the personalization possibilities and overall appeal of these motorcycles. MiY unlocks thousands of personalization options and is becoming a game changer for Royal Enfield. We believe that the newly introduced colourways on the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, along with unique personalisation options via MiY will go a long way in bringing more enthusiasts into the brand fold.

There is a slew of options that the customer can add through the Make-It-Your-Program of Royal Enfield. The new program allows the customers to customise almost everything with the official accessories from Royal Enfield. These include accessories like seats, touring mirrors, fly screen, sump guards, luggage holders, exhausts and more.
